Project impacts
Construction on the Fort Apache Road project began in March of 2024. This project will widen Fort Apache (from Blue Diamond Road to Huntington Cove and Pebble Road – from Fort Apache Road to Durango Drive and Presley Glen Avenue – from Fort Apache Road to and existing 1000 feet east) to 2 lanes in each direction with buffered bike lanes and medians. Work will include excavation, new plantmix bituminous pavement, UTACS, concrete curb and gutter, asphalt paths, mill and overlay of existing pavement, construction of 2 new crossings for existing washes and storm drain infrastructure, ITS infrastructure, traffic signal modifications, new traffic signal at Fort Apache Road and Ford Avenue, street lighting, utility adjustments pavement markings, and traffic signing, and associated improvements.
